Throughout the past four years I have had multiple amazing childcare jobs. At age 15 i began my journey working with children as an assistant dance teacher at Creative Arts Dance center, i worked with children ages 2 through 12, focusing mainly on preschool and elementary ages. I then started working for Gymnastic World of Fort Myers for two years as a coach for kids ranging from ages 2 through 14. I coached my own classes with up to 12 children in a single class! it was a handful but i enjoyed seeing the smiles on the kids faces when they accomplished a new skill. I worked as a camp counselor for both of these jobs each summer organizing group activities, planning lunch time, and field trips. During this time i also babysat for three different families with children ranging from 1 years old to 10 years old. Throughout high Read more school I was an active member of the little wave childcare program run through the high school itself. Time was spent operating the preschool, planning and implementing lessons as well as promoting children’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development. After school I regularly volunteered at Orange Wood elementary school assisting with preschool- 4th grade classes as well as special needs classes. I graduated from Fort Myers high school with an IB diploma and a 4.3 GPA I attended Florida State University for my 1st year of college, majoring in social work and a minor in education. I now live in fort Myers permanently and will be finishing my degree here at FGCU. my class schedule will and can be worked around my work schedule, so availability is still completely open. I can confidently say that working with children is my calling, and it has benefited me tremendusly as a person.
