I am not an official nanny. However, babysitting was my first job and helped support me through high school and college. I have been involved in jobs, both paid and volunteer, that allow me to be an advocate for children and youth development. I have taken courses on child development, was a co-author on a parent-teen course for effective communication, and will be keeping my first grandchild on a part-time basis beginning in May 2014. I also am employed part-time by University of Florida where I teach leadership skills to faculty and staff.
