My name is Jamie and I am 46 yrs. old. Recently I have joined the ranks of a college student after many years of working, sometimes @ two jobs. I made the decision to get off the roller coaster of surviving and begin excelling. In my first semester I got a 3.5 GPA and I started my second semester a week ago. Although I have not been a nanny for a good number of years I have experiences with multiple children in homes as well as in classroom settings. I love to read books and sing songs. Dr. Suess is my favorite. Playing make believe and going out to discover are some activities that I enjoy the most. Helping children learn through exploration of the world around them, artistic endeavors and an old fashioned game of hop~scotch. My first experience was with a single father of twin girls that had Read more lost their mother. Audra and Julia were four when I began with them and six when their father remarried. I was then a preschool teacher in a private Montessori focused school. My duties there were Gross Motor development as well as counselor for the Kindergarten Kids Club, an after school program. I then went on to become a nanny for two adopted children. The youngest a boy who was three was non~verbal and not potty trained both of which changed with name games and consistency in about 6 wks. That job ended when the children became school age. Although it has been many years and a very different career tract I wish to begin again. I would love a part~time position within a family that could use my help. I was a Certified Nursing Assistant as well as a Medical Assistant for many years and I have my Basic Life Support {BLS} and CPR Certification. I can help clean and I cook a mean lasagna! I am an upbeat and positive individual that possesses an “I can do that” attitude. I am organized and conscientious in my personal and professional life, a self starter, trustworthy and dependable.
