Hello! I'm Carla! I'm a 20-year old Peruvian college student looking for a babysitting job! I am majoring in Sociology at the University of Florida, I am hoping to pursue a career in social working or youth development. I just recently received the training to start volunteering at a local youth shelter. I am a fluent English and Spanish speaker, I was born in Peru but moved to the U.S. when I was 9 years old. My experience mainly stems off from caring for my younger siblings, extended family members' children, and family friends' children. I also was a part time nanny for a 1 year old boy for almost 9 months. I have two younger sisters; my parents have always had to work a lot so I was always expected to be my sisters' primary caretaker while they were at work (basically a daily activity until I moved away Read more to college). I've also been the go-to babysitter for my parent's friends and family. I have never met a kid I didn't get along with or truly didn't enjoy spending time with! Being a college student is difficult and I think that nannying is the perfect job to have while I earn my degree, because it is professional and fun at the same time. I am also a licensed driver with my own vehicle, and I got my first aid certification in high school and will renew it if a client asks me to. I can cook and clean if it is required of me (I have had raving reviews of the couple of dishes I've been able to perfect, I really enjoy cooking actually!) I'm a great student and will be able to help a child with homework or studying if they need help, I also love animals and have a pet puppy of my own so taking care of them would be no problem. I really hope you guys will consider me to take care of your children! It would be my pleasure.
