I have an abundant of experiences with all kinds of situations such as: newborns (day and night care), date nights, live-in, travel, weekend/overnight, 2 families at once, up to 4 children, pre-k Sunday school, work at home parent, special needs, temporary, permanent, and with stay-at-home mom's needing a day to run errands. If you have different situation, I would love to have more experience and talk with your family about your needs. For the past 9 years, I have had a plethora of babysitting and nanny experience with children ranging in age from 3 days old to 12 years old. The most experience is with newborn to 5 years of age. I am currently looking for a position that is about 9-11 hours a week, or 14-17 hours a month. I started babysitting at the young age of 13, and have loved watching children since! I started to nanny at Read more the age of 18. In addition to nannying, I also babysit. I have worked with 4 different newborns, 3 of the families had a toddler that I watched also! The newborns ranged from 3 days old to 2 months old. I also have experience with special needs children such as tortes, Autism, learning disability, and genetic disorders. I have been first aid trained, and CPR/AED trained for 8 years. I am up to date on my vaccines, including the flu and TDAP vaccine. I am a nanny because I enjoy watching children grow and learn. I also have fun being silly! I love singing songs with the kids about anything and everything we are doing. However, I enforce the rules and time-outs. But, I love learning about different age groups and different ways of childcare! I love to read literature about the children's age groups, discipline techniques, and activities. I have read positive discipline, happiest baby on the block, what to expect the 1st year, and what to expect the toddler years. I would love to have recommendations on other interesting books! My life outside of children: I currently attend USF with a major in Health Science, hoping to be an RN one day! I have my CPR and First Aid certification since I was 14 years old. I have also worked as a CNA. I obtained my Phlebotomy certification, but I never used it. I enjoy kayaking, working out, going to the beach and going to the pool.
