My first job, like most teen girls, was babysitting. That was 25 years ago and I have worked with children one way or another ever since. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I began working at a Day Care in Indiana. While I began as a floater that covered breaks and lunches, I later became one of the infant room teacher, and ended as the toddler lead teacher. I stayed there, while going to school full time and raising my daughter, for two years before I moved into an office job. Although I stayed working in an office until I finished by BS in Business, I continued to volunteer with Girl Scouts, Sunday school, VBS, and in my daughter's preschool. When I married my soldier and we moved to England, I was a stay at home mom to my then two children, while I was pregnant with my Read more third. Over the next several years, I continued to volunteer at church and even spent several years running a play group. When the baby started first grade, I started substitute teaching. I spent 2 1/2 years being the "go to" sub for all classes from special needs preschool to 5th grade in Washington State. When we moved to Germany, I again was a substitute teacher, but this time it was through 8th grade. While in New York, I worked as an after school educator where I helped with homework and planned and executed enrichment activities. I basically got to play with the kids! Now in Florida I'm ready to start working with kids again. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
