I started as a caregiver in 2008, my favorite aunt was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Working with her I realized that I truly love taking care of people's needs. My aunt passed and I was then taking care of a woman that had a fatal lung disease, with her passing I moved from my home state of Ohio to Ft. Lauderdale, my daughter needed help with her son. I am currently looking for full time live in and possibly relocating I miss the seasons. Working with Alzheimer's I have learned extreme patience. Children bring such beauty and laughter I felt the need to change from caring for the elderly to children. I am looking forward to my next let's say adventure.

Gretchen served as a nanny for my 9 month old during our recent month-long visit to Ft. Lauderdale. I found Gretchen through SitterCity and was not disappointed.
