Hi everybody! My name is Kimmaya Chisolm and I adore kids. Growing up as a pastor's kid people looked at me as a leader of the bunch which meant a lot of the children gravitated towards me. That also meant that I was close to the members of the church especially the young women, they were like my big sisters. So, when they and their husbands decided it was time to have a family I was always the big sister to their children and as most know being a big sibling has a lot of responsibility ;-). I change their diapers, clean them, dress them, feed them, watch them after school and even taught them during Sunday school. My most favorable memory would have to be playing a video game with one of the kids I watched after school, Ratchet and Clank was the name of the game, super fun! Read more I also, volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club for two summers while my brother was employed there as well as being a zoo volunteer. Both of those volunteer duties involved dealing with the public, especially kids. Through both volunteer positions I learned a lot of things about kids and got to do and learn some fun activities. We would face paint, play a fishing game, do some outside games, watch a movie, or simple book reading, it was very nice and a great experience. In my opinion that is my training, I have been watching kids since the age of 15 and I am now 18 and am very close with all the kids I watched, I like to call them my babies, my little siblings and they put the biggest smile on my face when I get to see them :-). I plan on renewing my CPR license this upcoming week! So, I will be CPR certified. One more thing, I am soon to take a course in First Aid training, so I will know what to do for indoor and outdoor emergency situations like heat exhaustion, burns, broken bones, and even a stroke.
