I grew up as the middle child in a poor family. Not much opportunity, but lots of laughter and love. As a result, my parents worked a lot and as kids we were always left in the care of a sitter or nanny. Out of all my siblings, I was also the most responsible and well behaved so naturally, I took after the sitter. I loved spending time with my sitter and caring for my younger brother. I would always tell my mother that when I grew up I wanted to be a sitter. I still love this profession to this day. I went to school for nursing because it involves caring for others and I can work with kids.
