I would describe us both as laid back, spiritual, ethical, easy-going, humorous people who value family over everything and treat each day as a blessing, appreciating the little things in life. My experience caring for kids dates back to when I was probably 8-10 years old. I grew up in a big family and was very hands on with my younger siblings. I began babysitting full time for neighbors and friends when I was 12 years old, caring for kids from newborn (including twins) and as I grew up, took care of kids into their teenage years. I of course have plenty of experience gained from being a mom of two young kids who are only 20 months a part, talk about a handful :) My son is on the Autism spectrum and although he is high functioning and a super happy-go-lucky kid, Autism presents an extra challenge with social and behavior modification, more-so than your typical infant/toddler/preschool age child. I have learned through parenting him and the adversity we have faced, that I have FAR more strength and patience than I ever thought possible.
