My caring spirit, enthusiasm and connection that I have with children is so evident in person and so hard to show in words. Children have always been an important part of my life. After graduating with a BS degree in Recreation, I worked as a camp director for children with special needs. I developed and implemented a therapeutic recreation program on a pediatrics unit and rehab unit at a hospital. After the birth of my daughter, I opened a specialty toy store. The store was successful for 21 years because of my love for children and community outreach. Plus, I love toys, books, arts and crafts, and sports. I love to play. After selling the store, I worked as a paraprofessional in a high school special ed department, which then led to developing a work study program for students with special needs. I have relocated almost 2 years ago.to be Read more near by dad. I have been a nanny for the past 18 months for a wonderful 22-month-old boy. His parents would be happy to speak with you in regard to their experience with me as their son's nanny. As their nanny I was very active and involved with T. I am the kind of nanny who gets down on the floor and plays, sings and reads. I drove T to playgrounds, to a private kiddie pool , to the beach, to Dr. appointments and ran errands. I am a safe driver with a squeaky clean driving record. While T napped, I never sat still. I used that time to empty the dishwasher, clean the kitchen, help with meal prep, do laundry and even organized their garage, pantry and a closet or two. I am an animal lover... Dogs, cats, breaded dragons, and even cows have been a part of my life and my kids. I would love to talk with you more about your needs and of course learn more about your little ones and their needs. Thank you for considering me for this important position in your family"s life. I would love to be considered for a nanny position. I would love to have the opportunity to show you my smile, enthusiasm, and caring spirit and of course the opportunity to meet you and your little one. Excellent references and clean background check available upon request. Less
