I am a 24 year old student currently taking online classes to obtain a degree in child psychology/social work. Being a student online frees up my schedule to work odd hours and to do what I love. I have always had a soft spot for children, whether it be taking care of them, interacting with them such as play time, or teaching them, I have always felt like I make a difference in the lives of little ones. In addition to the degree I am currently working towards I am also a certified medical assistant. Having work experience with elderly as well as children. This I believe makes me more equip to handle an emergency situation in the event one may occur. As far as experience as a caregiver; I have been the sole babysitter for 2 children for over 5 years. The first of the two came into my Read more care when she was 1 year old. I looked after her at my home for most of day, feeding, playing, bath time, and learning. When she started school at 5, her mother had another little girl. I have been her babysitter since she was born (now turning 3) and she is going to be entering VPK. Beacuse of this I am currently looking for full time employment as a caregiver for another little one. My schedule is flexible and I would be available to start immediately. I can also provide references of previous employers if needed. In addition to my ablility to care for childeren I also do not mind light housework, running errands, pet care, or preparing light meals.
