I grew up the oldest child and was always responsible for helping take care of my younger siblings. Nearly all of my jobs have been working with children in some way. First as a newborn photographer, then as a sleep-away camp counselor, and eventually on to teaching preschool as well as elementary and middle school after school classes. I have also tutored for years and lived with middle school and high school foreign exchange students as a house parent, taking on all household responsibilities including cooking for 14 nightly. I am an actor, photographer, play guitar, mandolin, ukulele and know basic piano so I can help with your children learn music and art, or just play some fun games! Having taught English as a Second Language for years in South Korea to brand new learners (as young as 4), I have a special aptitude for teaching early reading and phonics.
