Hi! My name is Sarah. I am a CPR and First Aid certified nanny with eight years of experience caring for and teaching children. The majority of my expertise is with early toddler-aged and young elementary school-aged children. To facilitate learning, I like to find books to read with them that align to their interests so that they enjoy them as well as reinforce core subjects and teach them something new. With all kids, trips outside to a park or on a walk are a great way to strengthen muscles and release energy, as well as look more closely at colours, how things grow, and the animals around them. Along with reading and playing outside, I enjoy singing silly-songs, playing games, and creating art. Building with blocks and play-dough are some of my favourite activities with kids of all ages. For the last year I have implemented these philosophies while Read more working with large groups of children, ages six weeks to seven years at the YMCA. I have two years of experience planning meals, grocery shopping, and cooking for a family with specific dietary restrictions. I love to cook and find ways to involve kids in this activity. I believe when children are well-cared for and happy their parents can worry less while they are busy or away from them allowing parents to do their jobs and other activities better. My goal and Life’s pleasure is to make that happen to the best of my ability.
