I am a sociology major at USF, and plan to work with youth, when I graduate. I have an administrative background, experience in after school programs like the YMCA and Art Camps and nanny/baby sitting experience. Empowering human potential is the driving force behind my career motivations and goals, and an after school into summer childcare position would fulfill my desire to work with children, and would be a great option while I complete my degree. More hours during summer is highly desirable. PERSONALITY: Active, fun and creative. I love to play outside, whether exploring or sports. Music, arts and crafts and occasional movies are some of my favorite pass times, and I always encourage the imagination. I love to laugh and be silly, but also set good boundaries. I value the balance between being a best friend, but also a leader. PAST EXPERIENCE: At Easter Seal's Murray Child Development Read more Center, I was program assistant for the clinic and day care center. I assisted in all office operations, for early intervention, speech, physical and occupational therapy, as well as assisted the day care program. I also worked in the preschool classrooms, as well. At My Art Studio, I taught classes such as Mommy and Me, Drawing, Pottery and hosted Splash Zone parties and Drama. At the YMCA, I supervised Elementary School children, both in after school programs and summer camp. I used arts and crafts, as a way to engage the children in play, and directed a musical performance. Through interactive and engaging activities, with the help of the arts, I am looking to incorporate childcare into my weekly schedule, and look forward to meeting you and your children.
