I am the youngest of five daughters therefore I have 14 nieces and nephews and now four grand nieces and nephews. From the age of seven I have assisted and helped with the responsibilities of caring for young children, from changing diapers, preparing for bed/bath, instruction, behavior management, helping with homework, preparing meals, housework, and developing character In the children. I have always loved kids from that point. I got my first job with children as a substitute teacher in a small town in North Georgia working with students with specials needs such as autism and Emotional/Behavior Disorder. The principal appreciated my work ethic so well that he gave me a permanent position as a paraprofessional. The rest is history, that was in 2006. I have been a paraprofessional ever since working with all types of students--autism, EBD, MOD, general classroom, Physical Education, Kindergarten, and etc. Will be attending USF Read more ST. Pete this fall to finally be certified in Special Education.
