I have 5+ years experience caring for multiple children (around 8) at once as a child care assistant. I am experienced in caring for new borns to school-aged children. I got a very young start in child-care through my mother, who's been a child care provider for 18+ years. I am experienced in a range of child development stages such as potty-training, learning to walk, learning to self-feed, going to pre-school or starting grade school. Being young is amazing because children are constantly growing, learning, and changing -- and it's my job to be supportive, understanding, and encouraging. I value the relationship with both parents and child greatly, and therefore offer 100% flexibility and open communication. I emphasize the importance of trust between child and nanny, and work hard to ensure that child is in loving care. Education is important to me. I am currently doing an online-program to become Read more a teacher. I have experience as a student teacher and I'm specifically studying Child Literacy. I am eager to help children with their reading and writing development, and be a tutor if need-be. I love to read stories and use imagination. I encourage creativity! Through my education, I have studied child development, child psychology, child literacy, and how to teach children with disabilities. I have one-on-one experience working with children with Autism and Down-Syndrome. I have reliable transportation and can commute distances either for work or for activities. Some of my favorite hobbies are going to the beach and swimming, going for long walks, dancing, playing instruments, writing, amusement parks, canoeing, and biking.
