For a year I was caregiver to a young man in a wheelchair chair. He was 22 years old. My responsibilities included getting him up and dressed in the mornings, making him food, getting him to appointments on time, and taking care of his wonderful dog JJ. I worked in 24 hour shifts along with my partner and we would alternate weekends. In addition I have been watching my little sisters since I was 13 years old. I would teach them school lessons during the summer and we would walk to our local park. Although I don't have much formal experience I am very good with children and look forward to having kids of my own.
