Hello there, careseeker! Thanks for clicking on my bio--it's nice to informally meet you, and I hope you find what you're looking for on my page. My name is Alex. I am a recently graduated journalism student from Tennessee who moved to Georgia just a few weeks ago in pursuit of a new chapter in my life, as well as a bit of adventure! Like many girls, I babysat in high school and college for a few families and they were very pleased with my services. I have taken care of both girls and boys from almost every age group and have felt confident and comfortable in my abilities to be a responsible, kind, and fun caregiver. I have dealt with boo-boo's, tears, messy meal times, unfortunate potty-related accidents, temper tantrums, and very negative attitudes towards bed-time, all with patience and understanding, and a relatively effective solution to the problem Read more at hand. It's all worth it, though. Along with the not-so-fun times come the most delightful experiences one can only have because kids are such special human beings. I also worked as a camp counselor for two years, where I had to be on the ball at all times. I took care of 8 year olds one year and 13 year olds the other--clearly there is a broad range of demands from such diverse age groups, but I got the hang of their needs pretty quickly. It was such a fantastic experience to be around them all the time, show them new things, and keep them happy for two weeks away from home, many of them for the first time. By nature I am very calm, but also creative and imaginative! Your child (or children) would never be bored with me around. I love play time just as much as they do, but when it comes down to business I do not hesitate to take control and get things done. I know how to cook, clean up, and keep things tidy. I do have a car (a very safe one) so if you need me to drive your child(ren) to sports practice or school, I am more than willing to do so.
