Meet Miyosha

I initially started out as a caregiver working with my mother at her in-home daycare where she cared for children ages 6 months-2 years old. During that time we also welcomed a new addition to our own family, my baby brother. I gained experience with children from caring for him as well. I have been fortunate enough to watch and take part in helping these babies grow into strong, smart infants as most were with my mother for years. During high school I worked summers at BOCES summer school where I was a para educator for 1st and 2nd grade students with mental and physical disabilities. Aiding these children, watching them and helping them learn, exercise and laugh was extremely rewarding. It was a gratifying experience to help them to grow. During my years in college I cared for my friend's two younger siblings, a little boy who was 7 Read more and a young girl who was 11. I cared for them for about 5 years. I would mostly care for them during the evening and late nights while their mother worked at the hospital. My duties consisted of making sure their homework was completed correctly, cooked and fed them dinner, made sure they had their bathes and they were ready for bed. I genuinely believe that helping families with their day to day lives and impacting children is a successful and fulfilling job. I enjoy impacting children's lives and aiding in their development to be contributing members of society.
