Caring for children takes time and patience. I understand when being stretched to thin is tiring. For reason like this I love my career as a Nanny/caregiver. I love that I get the opportunity to lift those everyday burdens and tasks off the family shoulders. Leaving room for families to enjoy there time together. Best of all I love that I can relive the stress from parents and let them know that there child is always safe and secure. My focus when interacting with children is to help them develop life skills that will let them grow in the future. I enjoy engaging in small activities from cooking to sports. Working on character building is another big one for me. Positive encouragement fills children with confidence which is key for strong skills and results. I live by the phrase " You can learn something new each day." My experience falls Read more in to a number of categories. I originally started out a traveling nanny for a family with children emerged in athletics. I continued this position for about 2 years then transitioned to a corporate business setting. East Cobb Preparatory was a great. I learned the in and outs of child care in a corporate business setting. Also I observed the nature of individual attention versus group engagement. I ended my position with ECP after 1 year to presume a different path. Navigating my way threw the corporate world I received the opportunity to work for Georgia Public Broadcasting. While spending time there I realized the emptiness I felt. I didn't feel fulfilled in the work I had been doing. That experienced showed me that child care is my calling. I love the expressions the child gives when accomplishing something. While attending GSU I received my certification in first aid and CPR training infant and adult. I believe in you can't be to prepared. Overall even though I myself am not a parent I understand the challenges parenthood brings and I feel my brains and expertise can help families in the long run. life is fast moving and not having enough hands should never stop you.
