With working towards my degree in Psychology, I have been thought many things. Learning about people with special needs has always been an interesting topic in class. I have quite a bit of close family members who has Autism or a disability. Even throughout middle school, I would defend my friends who was in the special needs class, from getting bullied. There are many things that I am not fully aware of but I am always open to learn. Having a positive relationship with child and parents is very important to me. I am capable of followed the care plan as directed by parents. Also, ensuring the health and social well-being of child with autism. I provided assistance with activities of daily living including grooming, toileting, communication skills, and meal prep. I also can monitor behavior of children to ensure their safety and progress and provided updates to parents.
