Hello, my name is Stephanie Heigerick but I go by my middle name Paige. I have over 13 years of experience working with and caring for children, ranging in ages from infancy to teenage years (although I will admit I favor infants, only because it's such a precious stage). My professional and volunteer experience consists of the following: Professional -Teaching Assistant, Oconee Preschool Academy (1 yr, ages infancy-6 ) -Camp Counselor, The Swamp (5 summers, ages 7-17) -Multiple nanny positions, many of through SitterCity Volunteer -Kingston, Jamaica-family clinic, orphanage (June '08) -Gauthier, Haiti-orphanage (October '11) I am incredibly comfortable around children, and have been referred to as being great with kids too many times to count. Around friends, and family, I have been labeled "the child whisperer," which I secretly love:) I like to be active, and creative with the children that I am watching and caring for. I personally Read more believe that exercising their imaginations is very important for their development during these young stages. If there is a list of things to be done, such as homework, laundry, medication to administer, chores, bath or story time, etc. I always find an efficient, and fun way to complete each to-do. I also love to cook, bake, and am more than willing to do some grocery shopping if needed. My biggest goal(more so for the mothers) is I ALWAYS want you to come home to a house that doesn't look like a baby bomb went off. I look forward to hopefully meeting all of your nanny needs, as well as becoming close to your family, I am not looking to just be a driving service, but a big sister type:). And am looking for a family that wants the same.
