I’m writing to express my interest in the Babysitter position. For the past 10 years I have been taking care of my son who is now, 18 years old. He has a rare seizure disorder called Dravets Syndrome, which has allowed me to be his home-based care giver. This has been my foremost experience and because of this experience I took care of an Elderly person, name Willie Thigpen until he passed away. He was in my care for two years he too experienced issues with seizures, which was one of the reasons for me being hired, but he also had some other minor health problems. With this experience I bathed him, clothed him, made his meals, changed his bedding, entertained him, took him to doctor visits, and for walks. Because of my sons illness I decided to open my own home-based child care business called Little Blessing for two Read more years and I took care of newborns and school aged children. I gave my children educational circle time, play time, served meals and fed infants, Disney movie time, Before and after school drop off care for school age children, and homework/snacks for school children. Due to my child’s progression in his illness I had to close down my child care business. He is now stable in a group home facility which allows me to regain employment again. With these child and elderly caregiving skills and experience I feel that I would be an asset to your company. I’m loyal and dependable and would give a lot of love and care to the patients. If I can provide you with any further information on my background and qualifications, please let me know. I can be reached at 732-762-8795 and I do have reputable clients who will give reference to my care giving experience. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to speaking to you about this job opportunity. Sincerely, Linda L. Whittaker
