I am a responsible, caring and creative person. In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking and creativity games (drawing, coloring, crafts) and not the last, TO PLAY in the house or in the park with kids. A nanny's job is to encourage learning activities in a loving, nurturing atmosphere, enhanced by appropriate boundaries. I am firm with rules, but loving and flexible enough to enhance a child's understanding of why it is important for them to have rules, as well as negotiating alternative activities with them. Redirecting children to appropriate activities, especially small children, is the best way to handle many behavior issues. In most cases, children need to be told what they can do as well as what they can't; it helps them develop their own alternatives for behavior as they grow.
