I am a passionate, nurturing and patient individual who loves to interact with children. I am currently a Kids Activities Department head at a health and fitness club in Atlanta, Georgia. However, my fiancé and I are soon re-locating to the Denver area to be closer to our family. I have an extensive background with childcare and experience working with children and family event planning. My experience is further detailed in the attached resume. My degree is from the University of Georgia in journalism and communications, but I also minored and did social research with Child and Family development. On a daily basis I am responsible for the care and safety of our members’ children – specifically infants, toddlers and school-age children. This includes: • Providing and carrying out creative lesson plans for our Child Center’s Activity Schedule • Soothing fussy children and helping them adjust to new environments • Read more Feeding, burping and changing infants • Engaging and entertaining age groups from 3 months to 12-years old in interactive play and crafts that promote social, physical and mental development • Speaking with parents and developing comfortable and trusting relationships • Planning monthly events and field trips for 5-12 year olds to places such as the Georgia Aquarium, Zoo Atlanta, the dine-in movie theater, roller-skating rink, Stone Mountain, etc. I would love the opportunity to talk to you more about working with your family and how I can help ensure that your children are cared for in a fun, safe and engaged environment.
