My name is Tyana Garcia, I am a 32 year old single mom to two outstanding boys! I am CNA, First Aid, and CPR certified. I am employed with the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse, and have been with them since 2014. I have an extremely flexible schedule with my job, i make my own schedule and hours. Care Taking History: I have been a CNA since 2009. Even before then I was a caretaker in my own right. Me and my mother took care of my great grandfather up until the day he passed in 2004. Back then I didn't see it as a job or what some would call a companionship(in which it was in hindsight), it was just normal for me and i enjoyed it. He took care of all of his family and it was our time to take care of him. It was just that Read more simple. Caring for him I believe led me to the healthcare field in 2009. It was something that came natural for me and that I actually enjoyed doing. So the decision to become a CNA was a no-brainer. Throughout those years I served as a companion, a nurses assistant, and a patient care technician, all of which involved me taking care of an individual in some way or the other. The career I am in currently is far from healthcare or care-giving at all, but I believe that the skill and desire is something life-long, you don't just lose it! It is definitely something you have to love and that I do! Nanny/Babysitter History: I moved to GA in 2009 and was immediately hired as a teacher in the infants and toddlers classroom at a Daycare Center. (Reference available upon request). I was employed with them until 2014 until I decided change courses in employment. 2010 to 2013 I cared for at the time 10 month old and 7 year old siblings. Both in which are still apart of my life today! (Reference available upon request) I currently hold a CDA (Child Development Associate). I am also currently enrolled in school pursuing my Associates in Early Childhood Education. I am also CPR and First Aid certified.
