I am very loving and outgoing and love to go on outings including but not limited to: nature walks, swimming and parks. I enjoy reading to children, playing age appropriate and ability appropriate games, teaching new skills, watching children grow and develop, and doing simple arts and crafts. I have several years experience with low functioning autism, motor disabilities, language problems, aspergers, and learning disabilities. I am able to care for all ages and all abilities. I started my sitting career at age 10 (I am now 31) and have twin younger brothers whom I helped raise. They have learning disabilities. I have volunteered at a Boys and Girls club in Valdosta working with behavior problem children of all ages, as well as, volunteered at a place which adults with various disabilities were taught certain skills to help them be more independent. I also have worked in a few different Read more daycare and child care facilities working with all ages 0 to 12 and was a camp counselor at the YMCA for at risk elementary school students for a summer in Valdosta back in 2000. As you can see, I have over a decade of experience taking care of children all ages and of all abilities. I specialize in the Autism spectrum disorders, and those disorders associated with autism and motor disabilities. I will provide effective and efficient work and am able to handle several responsibilities. Furthermore, I am knowledgeable in mulch-disciplinary psychological methods pertaining to personal relations, behavioral health, child development and research methods. This is due to the excellent education and training received from Kennesaw State University’s Psychology department and my continued education and experience in general and child psychology. This means that I am able to offer efficacious communication in all situations and can effectively apply psychological and educational concepts to everyday life. I am able to problem solve, think critically and creatively, and remain fun and professional. Additionally, I am proficient in multidisciplinary psychological subjects and I have a holistic and integrated approach to personal wellness. I thoroughly enjoy sharing and expanding my knowledge of psychological concepts, child development, and theory/methods. Through my ability to watch, analyze, and objectively critique situations, I will be able to offer effective interpretation and communication of the child's development and progress to parental guardians/ parent.
