I am an enthusiastic and energetic individual that has years of working with youth of all ages. I began babysitting for family and friends at the age of 13 (nearly 20 years ago!) and have worked in school systems since graduating from James Madison University in 2005. I worked in Viriginia Public Schools as an ESL aid for students in pre-K through high school. I received my Master's Degree from Virginia Tech in 2013 and will finish my Doctoral Degree from the University of Maryland this September!! I have taught at the university level for 5 years, and recently moved to Macon to begin a position in August working with high school students. As a life-long student myself and an educator, I actively engage in educational activities. My other interests include hiking, rockclimbing, walking my dog, Dilly, and spending time outdoors.
