Hello! I currently live in East Cobb, Marietta, GA and have lived here for almost 10 yrs. Prior to living in Georgia, I got my fair share of island life during my time spent in the US Virgin Islands. I have been babysitting my brother and sister along with many children in my family from the age of 14. Professionally, I have worked with children for over 4 years, 2 of which involved working with children with mental health disabilities and behavioral problems. My philosophy is to extend the parenting guidelines in my services. The best relationship is one where the kids feel as comfortable with me as they do with their own parents. I have an undergraduate and masters degree both in psychology. I am comfortable babysitting children between the toddler and teen ages. As a former military officer, I love the outdoors and enjoy lots of different nature-filled Read more activities. I do not consume processed foods, sodas, candies, etc and I avoid giving them to children as well. Thanks to that military background and my graduate school training, I enjoy routine and believe that children are most successful when they can participate in a regimen that they enjoy. Expression and laughter are also very important to children's development so I do my best to foster an environment where a child feels secure in self-expressions whether it is through art, music, dance, etc.
