I have been working in the Early Care and Education field for 12 years. Over the years I have worked with all ages from Infants to Pre-School. I am looking to change the path in my career because I believe the student to teacher ratio is to high to provide quality care. I am looking to decrease the number of children I care for so that I can provide care and education in a home setting. I believe education along with a positive interactive environment with a low teacher to student ratio plays a vital role in the advancement of young children. I believe every child is important and every child should get the attention required from their caregiver/teacher. As an educator I am accountable for their growth and development. Being an educator in a child care setting, I understood my role was more than a teacher; I wore the Read more hat of a caregiver and the same philosophy would go to your child. Being a team player along with having patience, compassion and understanding, along with being a creative and outside of the box thinker are qualities I have embedded into my educational ethic. I am applying for this job because I am looking to expand on my experience as an educator with taking on a lower student/teacher ratio. I have 12 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator which has given me a vast number of skills geared to the establishment of a strong educational and social foundation for children. I am a certified Baby Signs Instructor, I hold an A.S. in Early Childhood Education, and I am currently pursuing my B.A in Early Childhood Development at Walden University. My short term goal is to broaden my experience by establishing meaningful relationships with my students and their families in their homes and my long term goal is to establish my own in home Early Childcare Learning Center.
