Family and teachers started asking me at a young age what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I always answered, "that I wanted to be a Mommy!" Although this hasn't happened yet for me, it feeds and soothes my soul to spend time with precious babies and children. I love to do explore activities (especially art) that involve the child's interest, which can be a learning, and team building experience for everyone. When the little ones are happy, I am as well. Following the parents rules and enforcing them however the guardians see fit. I love playing outside with children. I love making babies coo and smile...really I don't mind changing diapers or helping to potty train. My goal is not only to keep children safe, healthy, happy, and to care for them as my own, but to show them all the attention, positive reinforcement, and love Read more that they want and deserve. I took a babysitting class with the YMCA when I was 12/13. Here they taught us a lot of great and important information, but only by living with, studying, working with all ages, personalities, and groups of children can one learn patience, and how special and different each and every child/ baby is! We learned CPR and Firsf aid as well. My dreams to be a mommy almost came true when my mother (at age 40) had my only younger sibling. She was my personal baby doll, almost all the time. I had the desire to learn as much as I possibly could and now my little baby sister is 23 years old!!! Somewhere between this and school, I still babysat for many families in our area. One having 5 children with 4 boys and a baby. Although I'm not currently certified in CPR and FA, I was trained in two or more college classes. I would love to meet with you to speak further and answer any questions.
