I graduated from GC&SU with a bachelors degree in nursing and 2 associates degrees. I worked in women's care (labor&delivery, postpartum, nursery) for approximately 6 years. I stopped actively practicing as a nurse in 2013 to focus on taking care of my family. My dad was battling terminal brain cancer and my sister had a couple of miscarriages and then a complicated delivery. I spent time taking care of my family and then had some personal health issues of my own. It was a rocky few years. I do plan on going back to working as a registered nurse I the future but I'm not quite ready yet. I recently moved to Toccoa, Ga with my partner who is the 911 Director and Emergency Management coordinator of our county.
