Dawn really left me in the lurch. I had agreed to hire her for an evening to watch my two young daughters while I attended my brother's wedding. She did not show up. She very negatively impacted my night (which should have been spent enjoying my brother's wedding). I had to find an emergency replacement (which I didn't realize I needed to do until after I got back to the hotel and she wasn't there, and so I ended up missing a large portion of the event), and it cost me small fortune. When we spoke, we had agreed that I would text her with the rate after speaking with my husband (which I did), and that barring any other concerns I would see her at my hotel that night. I never heard anything back from her and so I was RELYING upon her to be there. Just a warning: the best of references and a clean background check do not guarantee reliability. I learned my lesson the hard way.

Dawn is really amazing -it is no surprise that she is sought after by all the hotels in town. As a young mother it has been so valuable to have someone with so much experience to help me look after my son. Not only is she happy to help with anything, she anticipates your needs. For example, we had a squeeky door and on the next visit she brought some WD-40 to fix it.

Dawn is babysitting our 8-months old boy for about two months now. She proved to be very reliable and -- what, I imagine, is quite rare -- proactive. She was the first one to start reading to our son and she made us realize that he actually loves it. She always brings new books and toys with her. Sometimes she would do some minor household work, even though we never asked her to do it. Dawn know a lot about child development; she also really does know how to talk to babies (and, I imagine, older kids). She is a great child care provider and I would recommend her to anyone.
