I have a full time job working as a waitress at a cafe down the street from my apartment, and am posting this profile seeking babysitting work because it's something I genuinely enjoy doing! I love kids because they are so imaginative, silly, and funny! I have worked with kids since I was old enough to work. I was hired as the youngest resident counselor at a YMCA Camp after going through their leaders-in-training and counselors-in-training programs. This was an amazing first job as I was paid to facilitate a fun and meaningful camp experience for kids, many of which had never been away from home before! I worked with groups of children of all ages and taught classes including arts and crafts, outdoor survival, dance, soccer, archery, climbing, and field games. Since then, I've worked as a nanny, as an art teacher at a children's art studio, and at Read more an art therapy studio with children's classes. I studied at Loyola University Chicago and graduated in May of 2014 with a bachelor's degree in theatrical arts. My theatrical nature makes me a hit with kids that are highly energetic and want a fun exciting babysitter! Some of my favorite activities to share with the kids I babysit include arts and crafts (obviously), going to the park or playing outside in the backyard, playing board games or making up new games, and reading/going to the library. The work that I do tends to be very in-the-moment, and I enjoy that co-creative process that we share. I am the babysitter, and I am in charge, but we are working together to have a fun, imaginative, playful time together! We might make up a song or play, have a spontaneous dance party, make cookies for our friends, or read a book in silly voices. While I enjoy planned activities and crafts, I like to decide what to do together with the kids I'm babysitting, so we are all excited about our time together. If you're looking for a fun, positive, creative babysitter that has a lot of experience with all sorts of age groups and activities, then I am a great fit for you!
