Thank you for taking the time to view my post. First things first: I currently have a contract with a family for the hours of 8:00AM-12:00PM Monday-Friday. In my contract, it states that I have to work occasionally until 2:00 or 5:00 PM, I hope you're okay with that. I will let you know what those dates are as soon as I know! I usually know one week in advanced. What do I love about my current family? They motivate me to be the best ME I can be. I see how hard working they all are in work, school, and activities. Each person can be so inspiring and unknowingly teach me how important it is to not give up. This family has taught me so much and they are constantly giving. I had to think about, in what ways do I want to give back? How can I be Read more the most productive? Working in this field can be one of the most humbling experiences. I really love what I do. I never work weekends for my AM family and I am free most afternoons and evenings to help you out! I am available short term or long term. I am up to date on first aid/CPR. I have reliable transportation and insurance. I've never had a DUI/Car accident/speeding ticket. I took the pledge, I don’t text and drive. You can trust me behind the wheel! I have experience in an awesome home school program called, K12.com. I have worked at La Montessori Nursery and a Montessori pre-school. I have spent years teaching American Sign Language to infants and toddlers. Did you know: Teaching sign language can be a wonderful bonding experience & helps with fine motor skills? I have 9 years working in non-profits like: The Arc of East Central IA, United Way, AmeriCorps, Four Oaks, and Boys & Girls Club. I started when I was in high school as a Program Assistant in an after school program with AmeriCorps; I’ve yet to find a career as fulfilling as working with people. I have helped out families with twins (infants), toddlers, pre-school, elementary, and last summer I worked for a family with middle school boys I am currently working on becoming an interpreter for the Deaf, as well as learning Spanish. My hobbies include yoga, writing, bike riding, swimming, sand volleyball, and walking my 6 year old chocolate lab. -Cassandra
