My name is Gen Scholtes, I'm 22 years old and living in Iowa City. I recently just graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa with a BA in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. I love the outdoors, shopping, baking, cooking, going to coffee shops, and just living life. I love animals too! Dogs, cats, birds-I grew up with animals all my life and my aunt and uncle owned a sheep farm! My experience with children stems way back to my childhood. My mother was and still is a daycare provider. I've been around newborns, toddlers, adolescents, and teenagers. I was a lifeguard at my hometown pool for 6 years, so I was around kids and teens all summer. While I was in college I was a nanny for two families. One family I watched two very sweet young girls, I loved watching them grow and learn. The other family, I Read more watched and was on call for a little boy who was very energetic! Kids are the light of this world and they bring so much joy into our lives! I don't have any childcare certifications, however I feel experience is the best qualification but I am certified in CPR/AED.
