Hello, My name is Breeana and I have been caring for children most of my life. I will be moving to the Quad Cities in January of 2016 and would like to start connecting with families to ensure that I will have employment upon moving. I make monthly trips to Davenport and am willing to set up an interview during those times. Starting as a young child I always wanted to help my mom take care of my two younger siblings. This led me to start babysitting very early. First I had short babysitting jobs at my house. Then, that grew into whole weekends and eventually I became a summer nanny at age 14. From then on I continuously babysat and nannied for multiple families. After high school I attended Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College where I earned my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. During my time as a student Read more teacher in this program I got my current job as a full time preschool teacher in a family child care setting. I have been employed here for three and a half years. I am current on the following certifications: SIDS prevention, Shaken Baby prevention, and CPR. In addition, I am currently attending Univerisity of Wisconsin-River Falls online to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Right now I am looking for a care job where I can make the same close connections with families as I have in my current job, while teaching children in the style that I believe is best practice for their development. I believe that children learn and develop best in a nurturing environment where they are facilitated in developmentally appropriate, hands on, child centered, nature and sensory based activities.
