Throughout my life, I have had a lot of exposure to children through my volunteer work and my job. Being a lifeguard for five summers gave me a lot of experience with kids because I interacted with them on a daily basis. As a swimming lesson instructor I made lesson plans for both private and public lessons for children of all ages. I was hired by parents to teach private swimming lessons, which allowed for more one-on-one time with the child and allowed for parents to complete errands during that time. As a volunteer, I worked with kids during summer Vacation Bible School at my church where I assisted with crafts, songs, and various games for the children. Also, I helped with youth basketball, tennis, and track camps in my town where I was in charge of certain drills or assisting the kids with different skill sets.
