I have had many opportunities to gain experience in working with children in different environments. Growing up with two younger sisters, I play role in their lives to make sure I am always there for them and to also encourage them in their lives. Also, in high school, I nannied a set of twins (boy and girl) for three years. This experience taught me on how to have fun but also take on the responsibility in working with young children. They need the authority figure, but they also need a friend. This past summer, I have also worked in a non-profit organization that emphasized using creativity in summer camp workshops. Being a camp counselor taught me patience, time management, and open-mindedness. Seeing children having fun while thinking out-of-the-box is a visual I love seeing.
