I have had a lot of experience working with children of all ages. I have an A.A. degree in Early Childhood Education and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Throughout my high school career I was a Girl Scout leader for girls ages 9-12. I volunteered at Our Kids Count watching children while their parents were in meetings and I volunteered at the local daycare center The Learning Center. I have babysat children between the ages of 3 months and 13 years of age. I have worked with many types of diets and allergies, because of my current job as a Dietary Aid at Floyd County Medical Center; as well as cooked many different types of meals. I can work with children with special diets and I know how to substitute and use healthy ingredients instead of foods high in fats. I love working with children and I know how Read more to handle them through experience and education. I will encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving appropriate to the development levels of the children. I will help the children be creative and learn through games and activities. Children learn by doing, hearing, seeing, playing and touching and I will provide them with opportunities to grow and learn. I have always wanted a job working with children. I have what it takes to be a child care worker. I am willing to do the fun things required for the job and the not so fun things; such as diaper changes. I love helping children and I am a good role model. I work hard and I am a dependable person. I am good in emergency situations and I have been trained in infant and adult CPR.
