I attended Grinnell College from 2011 until 2014 and during that time I worked at the Grinnell College Preschool as a teacher's assistant and I have to say it was the most wonderful part of my day. I have another year of experience working in two other preschools in Iowa City; I also worked at the Ann Arbor Friends Meeting nursery and first day school; and I spent an academic semester as a girl scout troop leader for 8-10 year-olds! I love children and we get along very well :) I love to play games, make up stories, do art and go to the park. I am very active and very good at helping children feel comfortable and ready to learn. Every day that I walked into my preschool classrooms and nurseries, it was a joy to see my kids, watch them grow, and hear about all the things they Read more think and dream about. I learned a lot about helping kids to understand important things about the world and their own opinions through playing and conversing with them. Helping kids grow and learn brought joy to my life even when I was a peer among them in middle school and high school where I participated in, and facilitate, a student discussion group. I am excited to meet you! *I am currently completing my Bachelor's degree at Grinnell College. I plan to finish my coursework in May 2017 at which point I intend to move to Washington, D.C.
