My name is Tess, and I currently work as a school psychologist at three elementary schools in the Iowa City area. In my position as a school psychologist, I primarily evaluate children for special education services and assist teachers in developing plans for students with educational and/or behavioral difficulties. I received my B.A., M.A.E., and Ed. S. from the University of Northern Iowa, and have worked with kids of all ages and in a variety of different settings. I was a summer nanny for two wonderful girls (an infant and a school-aged child) for three years, a summer nanny for two awesome boys (five and six years old) for one summer, I worked as a respite caregiver for a nine year old girl with Down Syndrome, and I worked as a teacher's assistant at a daycare. In these roles, some activities that I loved doing with the kids I worked Read more with were: going to the pool, reading, playing indoor and outdoor games, drawing/coloring, and exploring various activities in the community. I have summers off with my job, so I am available full-time during the summer months. During the school year (mid-August through June), I am available for occasional weeknights/weekends.
