I'm a middle school social studies teacher and most recently a substitute teacher in any of the core subject areas. I have a passion for working with young people, and especially enjoy the connections and experiences possible during the more informal summer months. I spent 3 summers directing a summer day program for students ages 10-13, and I loved it. I would love to care for elementary or middle school age children over the summer. In my past summer experiences, I have spent time playing sports, planning recreation and games or crafts, and engaging in academic enrichment with children. I'm comfortable preparing simple, healthy meals. I'm also happy to plan outings to places such as libraries, parks, the science center or museums, the zoo, or aquatic centers. I love being outdoors and being physically active. I particularly enjoy rollerblading and swimming. I'm a former lifeguard and swim instructor.
