Hello! I’m Carly, I’m 25 years old and originally from Minnesota. I started working with kids when I was 13 by volunteering through my community’s parks & rec program. I’ve always enjoyed helping people and I feel grateful that I’ve been able to pursue my passion through working with children over the last 12 years. I consider myself practical, resourceful, and ambitious. I have been complimented by parents, employers, and friends on how patient and good I am with kids. My biggest challenge is probably that I am very honest, sometimes to a fault. I value transparency and communication above all else. Great communication is key in all of my affairs. I am the middle child of three with one older sister and one younger brother. We grew up having dogs and I am very comfortable around all kinds of pets. I’m quite used to the traveling lifestyle. I moved Read more from Minnesota to Iowa for college and then to Vail, Colorado during my holidays for work. After unenrolling from college in 2019 I moved from Vail to Denver. In the Fall of 2020 I moved to Tucson, AZ where I spent 6 months living with a family that I nannied for. They had newborn twins and a 5 year old boy with special needs. After Tucson I moved up to Phoenix, AZ where I have settled down for a bit. I have worked a bit in childcare before moving into an assistant manager position for a restaurant that my friend opened last Summer. I had my first two trips abroad last year when I traveled to France with a friend and then Tokyo earlier in the year to visit my best friend from college. Both trips were so wonderful and unique in their own ways. I am a traveler at heart and am always open to new experiences. I am considering finishing my degree. I’d eventually like to own my own business someday and freelance in social media management. Through my previous experiences, I've been able to plan a plethora of curriculums, some of which included topics like cooking/ baking, arts and crafts, or coaching soccer and T-ball. I played soccer most of my life and love to stay active in general. I especially enjoy playing all kinds of games or outdoor activities with the kids. Granted, it gets very hot here!! You can rely on me to plan activities with your kids and really make the most out of any days we have together. Pinterest is my best friend when it comes to planning activities! I am both CPR and First Aid certified and have my own vehicle for transportation.
