Hi there! My name is Melissa Hohler and I'm currently a Junior at Iowa State University, majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology. For the past several years, I have been working as a nanny during the summer in Ames, as well as been a family babysitter. It has truly been a great experience to say the least. Last summer in Ames, I was a nanny for 2 cousins. Both loved to read, be outside, and at the end of summer we took a trip to Adventureland. The summer before in Ames, I was a nanny for a very active boy. I transported him to his daily activities, went to the pool, played games, and I prepared meals daily also. I have also worked as a Child Care Assistant at the YMCA where I was responsible for caring for up to 20 children of all age ranges. Some needed diapers changed, Read more others were old enough to care a little more for themselves. We played outside, watched movies, played games, and I was responsible for preparing the food for them each day. I have also worked as a family babysitter for 4 children under the age of 6 at the time. The youngest was a boy with Downs Syndrome who was the most loving baby I have ever cared for. The kids were very active and so fun to be around. I grew up as someone who played many sports: Softball, Track, Cross Country, and Soccer and have continued to remain active throughout the years as a student. I am very friendly and caring, as well as outgoing, flexible with my schedule, and extremely hard working. I had loved working with kids over the past 5-6 years and I hope to continue as a nanny or babysitter for this summer 2015. I am CPR Certified and First Aid Certified, as well as have a clean driving record and a reliable car. Please feel free to email me or give me a call if you would like more information.
