Dear Family, Hello! My name is Kelsey Steele and I am 21 years old. I am currently in the transition period of moving from West Des Moines Iowa to Wheaton Illinois. Iowa is where my parents raised my older brother and me but it wasn’t where I was born. I was actually adopted as an infant from Young Zhou, China! My family has provided me with unconditional love, support, and guidance. They have made such an impact in my life and have helped mold me into the person I am today. I am someone who thrives off of staying busy and working. My first job was actually at a daycare and that’s how my interest in children and helping others began! I love being surrounded by children and am intrigued with their perspective on things. For me, I find it refreshing since it gives me a different outlook on life. I know it takes time to build a foundation of trust especially with a stranger but I hope to build a solid friendship and be a positive influence to each child. In my free time, you can find me at the equestrian barn with my horses. Most weekends I train for competitions and I compete in the form of hunter/jumper. It’s been my passion for 11 years now and is an outlet and I hope to pursue for many years to come. I am also committed in living an active healthy lifestyle and no matter the how busy my schedule is I’ll always find time to get a workout in!
