I am currently a nanny/household helper to a family of 3 boys; a 4 1/2 year old and 2 yr old twins! I love my job and have been working with them since the twins were 5 weeks old. My hours have recently been cut to part time as the mother decided to quit her job and be a full time mom, (with some help from me). I have always had a love of children and an innate ability to care, manage, and educate children from newborns to high school age. I am the 12th child in a family of 15 and started my babysitting career as an eager twelve year old back in the 70's. I began teaching horseback riding lessons when I was fourteen and continued into my early 20's when I married and started a family. I am still married. We have two grown children to whom Read more we are very close. I am a grandmother to be with our first grandchild due in early March! I studied education with a specialty focus in early childhood education. I worked as a teachers aide while in college and a substitute teacher in public schools for several years until taking full time work in the banking industry for 18 years. During those years I felt the pull to return to work with children and was drawn to work in the home. After working in education and experiencing the challenges of educating children whose needs as young children had not been met; it seemed working in the home with children from an early age I provide the most benefit. I feel I have returned to my life's calling as a caregiver, nurturer, and educator. I am extremely patient and nurturing. I believe children needs come first and will flourish to become competent, capable, and contributing members of society with the right beginning. I am lover of nature, the outdoors, and animals. I naturally instill a love of learning and curiosity of all things in this world to others.
