Hi! My name is Selena and I have over six years of experience caring for children from newborn to seven years old. I've been happily employed with my current family for the past 6 months, but my position will ending in late August due to my employers sudden out-of-state job opportunity. While I am saddened, I couldn't be happier for them! My other past nanny experience includes working with a three month old infant for six months, a six week, age-adjusted three month old for a year, a two month old infant for ten months, and eight week, age-adjusted three month old twins, for two and a half years. My prior responsibilities have included everything from ordinary daily activities, cooking homemade meals, potty-training, running errands, to handling housekeeping tasks and keeping a daily log of events. She never actually babysat for me. She responded to a message I sent at 3:30p-ish on Thursday for a Saturday night babysitter. We texted back and forth until 4p-ish. Asked me to call after 8p. I did. No answer. No contact. She'd also said she'd send over documents (updated background check, etc.). I texted the next morning (Friday). She responded this time. ("Who is this?") Apparently, another family that she works for regularly had contacted her between 4p and 8p, because she said that she now had a job with them on Saturday night. I only wish that she had let me know this immediately, so that I could have rounded up another sitter last night.
