Hello! I'm Monica and I anticipate acquiring a B.A. (Sociology) from DePaul University at the end of this quarter (Nov 2017). I am 41 years old and live in Albany Park with my boyfriend and cat. My most lengthy experience in childcare was being a nanny to a little girl for five years from age 0-5 in Forest Park, IL and it was very rewarding & enjoyable. Our usual activities were: reading, playing games, pretending, singing, dance parties, walks/park/playdates, library story hour, bike riding (she rides in baby seat behind me), blowing bubbles, learning a little Spanish & French, drawing, arts/crafts, cooking, supermarket shopping. I have had two previous infant CPR trainings in the past, but they have expired. I am looking into renewing CPR certification. I quite enjoy teaching children, playing, & answering their never ending questions. Childrens' curiosity & pace of development are amazing & I find spending Read more time with them rewarding. It can sometimes be difficult, yes. Sometimes illness or foul mood strikes, but I think I have the constitution, calm demeanor, & patience to deal with the more challenging moments.
